Delete your account

From inside the app, on either Android or the web:

1. 1Open Weche and sign in, if you are not already.
2. 2Go to Settings.
3. 3Scroll to the account section and tap Delete my account.
4. 4Confirm when asked. Deletion is scheduled straight away.

If you have already uninstalled the app, or cannot sign in, email us at privacy@lingofrica.com from the address you signed up with and we will delete the account for you. We may need to verify your identity first.

Requesting deletion starts a 30 day countdown. Your account is not erased immediately, so that an accidental request can be undone.

To cancel, simply sign back in during those 30 days. That stops the deletion and your account continues as before.

Once the 30 days elapse, your account and its data are permanently erased. That cannot be reversed, and we cannot recover anything afterwards.

Deleted permanently

• •Your account and sign-in details.
• •Your profile, including the language you chose and your onboarding answers.
• •Your full question and answer history.
• •Any feedback you sent from inside the app.
• •Your place on our email list, if you opted in.

Kept after deletion

• •Payment and subscription records. Kept for as long as tax and financial law requires, which is typically 7 years under Kenyan law. We never hold your card details; those stay with the payment provider or app store that processed them.

Cancelling a subscription is separate from deleting your account. A subscription bought through Google Play is cancelled in your Play Store account, one bought on iPhone is cancelled in the Settings app under your name, and one bought on the web is cancelled from Settings inside Weche.
